Gallery: The Illuminata CollectionThe Illuminata Collection was compellingly inspired by one of my earlier works, Prism Dance. Recently, Prism Dance caught the attention of many, moving me to re-examine what the energy was that was attracting them to this work, so many years after I created it. I see now that Prism Dance is seared with hope and glimmers of light peeking through the darkness, inviting one to pursue their way out of the darkness and into the light. Of particular inspiration in naming this collection is a book entitled, “Illuminata, A Return to Prayer”. In this book, Williamson, defines “The Luminous Mind…it is abstract principle dressed in human cloth, the light filled explosion that occurs when the mind has embraced its Source. Illumination is not of this world….it is both, our source and our destiny, the reason we came here and the reason we stay here.” I have obviously not been the same since looking back at Prism Dance, and since reading Williamson’s definition of Illumination. I have imagined what this “explosion” would look like and for some time have desired to express my mind’s visions on canvas. Prism Dance was the beginning of that vision and now, years later, I am again on the journey towards of illumination, of what my “light” looks and feels like. The two large panels I have now completed are entitled “Illuminata I” and “Illuminata II”, these are the offspring of my visions, they are a prayer for anything and everything on this planet and beyond. It is my desire that these works inspire you to seek and find your path of illumination and light and to share it with the world, no matter where you are in your life’s journey.
